Robotic Cosmetic Thyroid Surgeon
A robotic cosmetic thyroid surgeon uses a robotic system to perform thyroid surgery through remote-access incisions, such as in the armpit or behind the ear, to avoid a visible neck scar. This approach leverages the robot's enhanced vision (3D camera) and precision to perform delicate maneuvers, minimize trauma, and achieve better cosmetic outcomes compared to traditional open surgery. While there are benefits, this technique may involve higher costs and longer operative times, and not all patients are candidates for robotic surgery.
